Reply Generator
Paste a comment, DM or review and get a reply pitched to what it actually is — a question, a compliment or a complaint each need a different register.

- Complaint
That is well past where it should be, and the missing tracking makes it worse — I'm sorry. Send us your order number by DM and we'll find it today, or send a replacement out this afternoon.
- Question
Yes — we ship to 40+ countries, and standard delivery is 5–7 working days. Anything over £50 is free. Want me to check the timing for yours?
- Praise
This genuinely made our morning, thank you. Glad the refill worked out — shout if you ever want a hand with anything.

Praise
Brief and warm
Two sentences. Thank them specifically rather than generically, and stop. Over-writing a compliment makes it read as marketing.
Question
Specific and useful
The answer first, in numbers where possible. 'Yes, 5–7 days' beats 'we aim to deliver promptly' every time.
Complaint
Apology without excuse
Acknowledge the actual problem, skip the reasons, offer the fix and a route to a person. Never explain why it was not your fault.
What to automate, and what not to
| Message | Automate? | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Repeated FAQ (shipping, price, sizing) | Yes | Same answer every time, and speed is the whole value. |
| Compliments and emoji | Yes | A warm acknowledgement is all that is wanted. |
| 4 and 5-star reviews | Usually | Low stakes, high volume, and silence looks careless. |
| Specific order problems | No | Needs a lookup and a decision only a person can make. |
| 1 and 2-star reviews | No | The highest-stakes message of your week. |
| Anything legal or medical | Never | The downside is unbounded and the upside is minutes saved. |
Replying well in public
- 1
Answer the question before anything else
Lead with the answer, then the warmth. A reply that opens with three lines of gratitude and buries the shipping time is a reply the customer has to read twice.
- 2
Match the register to the rating
Praise wants brief and warm. A question wants specific and useful. A complaint wants apology without excuse, and a route to a person. The same template cannot do all three.
- 3
Never argue in public
You are not writing for the person complaining. You are writing for the fifty people reading the exchange later, and they are judging your composure, not who was right.
- 4
Take it private when it needs a fix
Acknowledge publicly, resolve privately. A public thread of back-and-forth troubleshooting helps nobody and stays visible long after it is sorted.
Questions
- Should I automate replies to negative reviews?
- Generally no. A one-star review is the highest-stakes message you will get that week and it deserves a person. Mediux's review automation defaults to a star range precisely so critical reviews route to a human by default.
- Is it free?
- Yes, on the free plan — 10 AI generations a month, no card. Each batch of replies is one generation.
- Will replies read as canned?
- Only if you send the same one repeatedly, which is the actual failure mode. Mediux generates up to twenty variations per rule and rotates them, so two people under the same post never see an identical sentence.
- Can replies include a link?
- For social comments, yes. For Google Business review replies, no — Google's policy bars links and promotional content, and Mediux blocks those before they post rather than letting the reply get rejected.
- How fast should I reply?
- Faster than feels necessary. A question left nine hours is usually a sale that went elsewhere, and speed beats polish for almost every routine message.
- Can this run automatically?
- Inside Mediux, yes — rules by post, keyword or intent, with an approval mode that holds replies for a human until you trust it. This page is the manual version.
